April Clearinghouse Cooking Class

We are thrilled to welcome a new chef for our Clearinghouse cooking classes, Sean FitzGerald! Sean is a chef at Feed Louisville, and he called Madison home for several years. He’s excited to bring his culinary skills to our project, and we can’t wait to introduce him to our next class participants!

Our upcoming April cooking class is designed specifically for people who use food pantries, qualify for SNAP and other nutrition assistance programs, consider themselves low-income, and/or experience food insecurity on an occasional or regular basis. Our goal is to gather for a good meal, learn a thing or two about making nutritious, budget-friendly food, and build a community of support around the table.

This FREE class will take place at the Clearinghouse on April 22 from 5-7pm. Dinner will be provided, and Sean will demonstrate the techniques required to recreate the dish. Each participant will receive a free copy of the cookbook Good + Cheap: Eat Well on $4/Day and a grocery bag of food from the House of Hope to keep the good food coming.

If this class fits your life situation, you can RSVP here until April 18! Otherwise, watch our newsletter for future classes for the broader community.

Free classes like these are made possible by donations from our community of support. Click here to donate toward future classes!
