Our Next Chapter Begins: We’re Officially a Nonprofit!
After almost two years under the fiscal sponsorship of Madison Main Street, MCGP has graduated to independent nonprofit status! This is a culmination of two years of hard work, but it also represents an exciting beginning. You’ll continue to know our initiatives as the Madison Community Grocery Project, but organizationally, we will operate as Madison Youth Unlimited.
Our Community Grows
Garden season may be winding down, but our community and school garden program is just heating up.
Our First Community Cooking Class!
In July, we hosted the first in-person installment of our Eat Well, Live Well cooking class series sponsored by Off Broadway Taproom. Chef Gabby Hammersley created and demonstrated three delicious recipes, and our participants went home with happy tummies and a host of new skills.
Who We Are
Here’s a little about us: The Madison Community Grocery Project is a coalition of residents who are committed to improving quality of life in Jefferson County through food access and education.
